Here is the story of My son and I making our own homemade Mini-Churros and Boy it was a mess! But Fun.
Ok so review time so I am one of those mothers that go all out and try to do anything my children and their friends want to try. My son last year beginning of COVID said mom I just watched a video this guy made homemade churros and they look so good and easy. Nothing deep-fried is easy. Little did I know he was going to say this when covid hit because of what I did for a living my Job was a no-go. So, my job ended, and I moved my boss of the past 6 years to Las Vegas and he gave me so many cool things. He gave me a deep frier, but I didn’t keep it so we were so totally bummed.
We followed exactly what his guy on video said to do made the dough which let me tell you the first time was way too runny, and a second time almost perfect the third batch was a bust. The point of this part is the dough isn’t ever the same promise they make it sound easy but never is. This KIT has everything all for us.
I’M SO EXCITED!
1: Made dough it literally had to sit in the fridge for 30-45 minutes which each time was quite different.
2: Next, dough was ready, I got out my icing bags and tips grabbed the biggest tip and stuffed as much of the dough into the bag.
3: Set that aside prepared the oil got it nice and hot.
(Let me say at this point my kitchen was an absolute mess flour everywhere just disaster) LOL
4: Once the oil was ready, I was like ok gave my son the tongs to rotate the mini churros before they burnt; I squeezed 3 inches of dough out and every single one was different shape thickness, another mess.
5: My son did not understand oil jumps.I had to take over both positions and squeezing dough out and flipping.
6: The first batch immediately dried up before cinnamon could stick. They tasted so bomb but wow what a job.
7: Rinse and repeat and when finished you have got an hour to clean up. SO, I will share my experience with the Fiesta-In-A-Box after we make our first Mini Churros.
