When I am asked what I do for a living, I respond, “I am a marketer.” I usually say I am a blogger or I write webpages and market things and services. But then that led to the person asking me to be very lost and confused. Which led us into a long, drawn out conversation with me trying to explain what it is I do daily.
Truth of it is yet to be told, and that led me to write this piece here. I am claiming it and very proud to share this with the world and hopefully with other marketers around the world that haven’t felt they had a place in the Professional world of Marketing to claim their place to stand tall and proud and claim it to the world.
The more the internet grows and develops; the more of our life is available “online”, and shared to the public. So I market heavier. Weekly and many of these daily; I market by posting ads on 10s to 100’s of different classified sites on the internet. I market on social media, business platforms, and growing by putting myself and my business out there in everyway possible to share all that I offer which is a lot. But I have been doing my job diligently lately due to fear of judgment and criticism. Until I woke up the other day and decided I honestly don’t care with other say or don’t say. I am proud of the marketer I am today and very proud to advertise every product that I promote or publicize on my website. But what I haven’t been proud of is that I haven’t been owning my profession and sharing it like I will from today forward. I am blown away by every product I write about and or share through editorial structured articles on my site. I stand proud to say today, “I am a Marketer”.
